About Brad
I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor"
--- Oliver Wendell Holmes ---
A native of Oregon, Brad had always been interested in Medicine from an early age. Upon graduation from Jesuit high school, Brad entered the US Marines. Brad was in the US Marines for 4 years and spent time in the First Gulf war and Somalia. With an Honorable discharge from his service he returned to Oregon and enrolled in college. Brad graduated 3 years later with a Bachelor of Science.
Brad was introduced to Chinese medicine the first time as a patient for his "incurable" low back pain. After the cure of his low back pain, in 2004, Brad enrolled at the Oregon college of Oriental Medicine. "I knew it was where I supposed to be" Brad said.
During his schooling at OCOM, Brad was lucky enough to study with world renowned acupuncturists all over the country. The method he was taught was a different style. It is a method of acupuncture that comes from many ancient books, some that are said to be some of the oldest in the world. The technique has many names, such as "distal method", "balance method", "I-ching acupuncture". No matter what name one may call this "style" or "type" of acupuncture the results are amazing and powerfully therapeutic. Very few people have experienced this type of acupuncture. "I was very lucky and fortunate to be taught this type of acupuncture" Brad commented.
In 2007 Brad graduated from the Oregon college of Oriental Medicine. Brad said, "The learning never stops, you can learn forever. The body is so amazing; this medicine is so detailed, it continues to intrigue and challenge me". Though having graduated, Brad continues to educate himself about Chinese Medicine by attending seminars and clinics taught by world class professionals.
Before graduating from school Brad started a non-profit called One Day Closer. Shortly after graduation, he started Pinpoint Clinic. The goals of both are similar. The goal of the non-profit is to provide free health care to those in need around the globe. The goal of Pinpoint Clinics is to help people locally achieve good health. In 2007 Brads nonprofit donated over 6000 free treatments for the people of India. Upon returning from India, Brad began to focus on his practice, Pinpoint clinic. Brad continues to donate and volunteer locally as well as globally. The nonprofit, ODC, is scheduled for another free medical clinic to Nepal in 2008.
Whether brad is treating at Pinpoint clinics or in some far off land, the goal is the same. "Listening, understanding, educating, treating, and healing are our goals". Brad is here to help you achieve the wellness and health you have been seeking.
